EACH PIN CAN HAVE MANY ACTIVITIES. Route Pins are used to create the route. POI Pins mark points of interest on the map. Choose between Apple Maps, OpenStreet Maps or various other maps. Cache non-Apple maps to disk for offline use. I love this app and use it to plan our cross country trips. I plot each stop and the activities at each stop. It takes time to put the info in the app, but serves as a permanent record of each of our trips. I would love if the app would allow more pictures to be added especially in the activities. I also use it to keep a running total of the cost of our trips using the activities section. You can Dropbox your trip to share.
  • Waste of money

This app is less useful than apple maps and google maps, has no help menu, provides no alternate routes, does not suggest services. Save your money.

You can't insert a stop after the route has been planned. I would like a refund. Not worth $6.
  • Very basic not really fictional for a road trip.

This app seems like a complete waste of money. Nothing really seems to work in the app. The tutorial is not useful at all. Look elsewhere for a trip planner!
  • Great TRIP planner

If you are planning a Road Trip that has stops in many cities then this is a good application to use. Saving your trip to the Cloud allows access over all of your devices. I've used it several times and recommend it. As an added bonus, you can look back at past trips to see where you went and stayed. So, it is a journal as well.
  • This is a Route Planner not a Trip Planner

This app has potential but I wouldn't waste any money on it. This only creates routes for you which you can use google maps free for. It will not show you Points of Interest that you can map or plan for during road trips. I have started using after purchasing this product. That site will suggest POI as well as have the ability to route and insert them to better plan your road trip. Update: I was contacted by the developer stating that you can add POI's by searching. Though this is true, a search for restaurants or gas stations only gives me the address and not the names. The addresses will need to be clicked on to see which one is nearer your route so potentially you can be clicking multiple see which POI is nearer your planned route.

Continues to be the best travel planner around. Has many features not found elsewhere. We love it. My wife and I travel much of the time in a Motorhome. We have been looking for an app to use to plan our routes, our overnight stays, and to list the things we want to see and do along the way. We have found it in Road Trip Planner. It is easy to use and intuitive. Two features I especially like are: It lets me adjust the speed which RTP uses to calculate drive time between stops. This gives me a much more realistic "expected arrival time", and You can zoom into a stop and switch from a "map" view to a "satellite" view. I find this very helpful in knowing exactly what I will find at that stop and how to get in and out I would recommend Road Trip Planner to all travelers who want to PLAN their journeys!
