  • Not worth the money to me

    By Kenett
I purchased this app for grad school and it was such a waste of money. Not only was it required, but the app is not user friendly and you ALWAYS have to perform updates ( takes forever)!!! I would rather use Epocrates, much nicer, very informative and easy to navigate while seeing patients. My only complaint is the cost :0(... Almost 200 per year, but it’s so good for a new practitioner...

Willing to tolerate an outdated app because lexi’s information is so much better than micromedex and uptodate is harder to navigate. Biggest complaint: If it needs an update, you can’t look up ANYTHING before you update. I’ve got a nurse on the phone asking me a compatibility question, and it won’t let me look it up until I do a 3mb update. It’s irritating, because I usually use the app when I’m looking for an answer quickly.
  • Difficult to use as a pediatric RN

    By hugehill13
The primary pediatric maintenance fluid (D5.45NS+20KCl) isn't even listed in the fluid compatibility. And when I'm trying to get my slew of AM meds together, I don't have time to wait for the timely update that needs to happen weekly to look things up. This app needs the following things to support pediatric RNs: 1. D5.45NS+20KCl (and similar fluids) as a fluid compatibility option. 2. A link to the pediatric drug index from the home screen. (Too many clicks to find it) 3. Under specific drugs, a sub-menu similar to micromedex that allows you to click on each aspect of a drug (i.e. Dosing, interactions, adverse effects, pharmacokinetics, etc.) instead of having to scroll through a wealth of information to find specific things that are more simply broken down in other apps. 4. Auto update!! No one who works in direct patient care has time to wait for all the updates to happen in order to keep our patients safe. Also, most hospitals have poor cell phone service due to thick brick buildings and lead walls near radiology departments, making it impossible at times to even use the app because you can't update it. In sum, I prefer micromedex, but my hospital switched to Lexicomp. I use micromedex anyways, because it's more user friendly and doesn't take forever to update when I need information fast.

Great app but what brings this app down to 2 stars is that the IV compatibility portion of the app has to be updated frequently sometimes more than once a day! For such a great app at a great expense, this should of have been fixed already.
  • So frustrating

    By Derek530
What is wrong with the IV Compatibilty??? The update issue has been going on for months and no fix yet - so annoying! There are many complaints out there and still no fix, just doesn't seem like it should take this long.

  • Doesn't load the content you need when you need it

IV compatibility has to be updated EACH time you need to use it?!?! This is much to expensive an app for this kind of error. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

This app used to be fantastic. Now it constantly crashes. It also seems to lose updates. I've updated the IV compatibility section several times, yet each time, the next day there is no data at all in this section and I have to update it all over again. Please fix this!
  • Keeps crashing

The app used to work but for the past month or greater it won't even open. I have even updated my software and it still keeps crashing. Please fix ASAP or give us a partial refund!
