App Reviews

  • Not great

    By John85367
It's ok it does name some peaks but up here in Alaska it only names about 40% of the peaks. Quite disappointed for a app I shelled out 5bucks for. Maybe it works in the lower 48 better but I definitely wish I didn't buy this.
  • Worth the price???

Only works sporadically and usually not when you really want to identify a during our two week Colorado vacation. Would not buy again.
  • Amazing outdoor companion

The latest update brings new features that make this app super useful for trip planning and virtual scouting. I love that I can untether my viewpoint and use it post-trip along with my photos to identify peaks. Truly an amazing app and well worth the purchase price IMHO
  • Simple, elegant.

I've used other apps to identify peaks before. This app is by far the easiest and most intuitive to use. If you are like me and just have to know the name of every peak you can see out your window, I highly recommend PeakFinder. A must have in Colorado.
  • So good

  • Wouldn't be without it

Superb App. The update was like getting a brand new and massively better app. I absolutely love this app. It is extremely useful and accurate. I recommend it without question.
  • The only peak app you'll ever need

    By AndyAW
Does precisely what it is supposed to with accuracy and ease.
  • Seems like magic

    By Mustacio1985
These renders are beautiful and the app correctly finds the peaks. Great for the Pacific Northwest!
  • Update ruined app

    By Jared Hello Hello
Why take a great app and ruin with an unusable update? It no longer find my location accurately. Also the new graphics are harder to see. Edit: I figured it out. The default view put me below ground level. I couldn't see any mountains despite looking at them in front of me with my own eyes. If you have the same problem, adjust the altitude slider on the left. I take back what I said about the graphics as now I can see the mountains.
  • Easily a favorite

This is a GREAT app. It's invaluable if you're curious at all about your surroundings, and very addicting to use while exploring. It will never move from its rightful place on my main home screen next to Maps, GMaps and Sky Guide.
