  • What if..

I love the application. My favorite feature is that I can type a day, month, time and create an event. I take the majority of my notes using the Apple Pencil. Is it possible to create reminders and calendar events while using the Apple Pencil? This would be perfect and take notability to the next level in my opinion!
  • Necessity for college

    By Lexi33333
I use this to take all my notes in all my classes my only complaint is not being able to edit the voice recordings because I've left it recording by accident hours after class and have to fish through to find my lectures but other than that it's extremely useful if you forget to print notes out this is a lifesaver since you can just download them into the app and note take away
  • Holy smokes !!!

    Best note taking app ever!
  • Great, but could be better

Notability for the iPad is very useful. I wish there was a feature where I could input all of my audio recordings that are synchronized with my notes on YouTube or iMovie.
  • This app is why I bought my iPad Pro

    By Elliott F. Radovan
This app is pure brilliance. I’m a high schooler in 5 AP classes, and I have never been this organized in my entire life. All of my schoolwork, notes, everything, is in this app. I am finally 100% paperless this year, and it feels awesome to just scroll down to find a Worksheet, instead of sift through my backpack for 3 minutes trying to find it, and ultimately pulling out a wrinkled, mangled up piece of paper. The writing aspect to this app alone to excellent. I love how you can select a chunk of handwriting and move it around, instead of how you would normally have to erase all of it and re write it. And the ability to record notes and have your handwriting be written again in real time is just flat out cool. This is also a real crowd pleaser at my school. Everyone is always asking questions about it and asking to try it out. One of my teachers even bought one after seeing me use it. I’ve always wanted to go paperless ever since I started using computers, and now I can. I want this review to not only persuade people to get this app, but to get the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil as well. I’m not saying it will change your life, but going paperless allows for a status of absolute organization that just isn’t possible with paper no matter how many binders or folders you get then lose. And one last point: if you get a piece of paper that you don’t want, just use the notes app (or Scanbot) to scan it with your iPad. You can even import it to notablility and mark it up-excellent for worksheets handed out in class, or for my adult readers, a document of form that you need to fill out. You can even scan textbook pages and annotate them-something you can’t do on a school or rented textbook.
  • Great but a flaw with a recent update

    By supernarwhal23
I really enjoy notability and have been using it for the past three years for school. It is super user friendly, and useful for almost anything you need to take notes for. However, I wanted to alert the creators that in a recent update, something was adjusted and now the bookmarked fonts/styles for texts don't work anymore. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but when I try to switch to one of my saved styles (which I love and use when taking notes to keep it organized) it doesn't work and just stays on the standard black helvetica.
  • Great app for college!

I’ve been using it for the past two years and really enjoy it. My one gripe is the zoom button in the corner... how I write I’m constantly running into it and have to readjust because my pencil will stop writing. If the zoom was up top this app would be near perfect for me. The playback recording-writing sync is a lifesaver when you didn’t quite understand a specific part of a topic (I just jot down “huh?” And come back to it later and listen again!) Wishlist: (still a 5-star app in my opinion) I wish it had a ruler like notes does. While it has the assisted line drawing that snaps my scribble into a straight line, I often find myself jumping to notes to draw something mid lecture (graphs) because it’s so much faster to move the ruler than wait for the snap to straight line to work (yes every split second counts in lecture)
  • Awesome app

Phenomenal but clearly laying out directions and sharing your thoughts with other people
  • Awesome!

I am a teacher and I use this app for everything! I use it for taking notes during professional development, I use it to record my students reading, I use it for intervention in math, I use it to display on my document camera to model for my students. In addition, I upload all my documentation forms into notability, take my notes, and then upload them straight to the student online records. All the other teachers have papers everywhere and I have nothing but my iPad! This app has changed my life!
  • Amazing app but...

    By Book lover4594
Recently, whenever I import a PowerPoint, I get a text file and a PDF and they no longer are named for the original document. I used to be able to download at just get one named PDF. Otherwise, this is my go-to app for note taking, highly recommended after they fix this bug.
