  • Just crashes every time I launch it

Don’t install this version! I did and now I cannot get it to launch. It just crashes every time I try to launch it. I deleted all the Settings files and that got it to launch once, but only once. Deleteing the prefs files again has no effect. I cannot get it to launch at all.

Finally Apple has upgraded the color correction section on FCPX! I was playing with it last night on some already completed videos and it is definitely improved, with wheels! Also I happend to spot the LUT Loader function. I say, well this sounds like a built in LUT Loader? Heck yes, it is! Have any Luts from whoever? Load it. Canon Luts, Sony Luts, Black Magic Luts, whoever made it Luts…load em up! So cool, no more 3rd party Lut loader that are useless on the next OSX or FCPX update. I have not tried the latest FCPX with the new Motion yet as I have it also, but they always talk to each other very well. I really don’t need BM Davinci Resolve for color correction any more, keep it all in one software finally. Get FCPX, try it, use it, love it.
  • Big glitch in conversion/import

Updated to v. 10.4 Unfortunalty, importing MPEG4 AVCHD files from my Canon HF G10 results in severe conversion glitches that created pixelated artifacts in the imported file. have trouble shot this down to the conversion by FCPX 10.4 Previous version did NOT have this issue. Please fix!!
  • Tried to return - useless

apples oh so clever “we’ll tell you what you need” bs fails on fcp. cumbersome and overly relying on key commands with multi stage actions for simple tasks. Vegas or Avid WAY better

So what’s to say about final cut pro that has not already been said? Probably not much. Let me tell you why I love final cut. First of all, I have Adobe Premiere too. My videographer swares by Premiere, or at least he used to. Looking over my shoulder and watching me do something in 5 seconds that takes him much longer to accomplish had him asking to borrow my MacBookPro to do his own testing. Now depending on what you are doing, the same is true in the reverse as Premiere has some great shortcuts that I’ve yet to find in Final Cut. I produce about 100 fully edited pieces each year on my youtube channel. I do a good bit more if you add in the quick stuff I toss together for Facebook. I do everything.. Write, film, edit, and publish. There is NO way I could do that volume of work if I didn’t have a highly effecient means of creating the content. That’s what final cut gives me. One thing that I don’t see a lot of people talk about, and this is probably one of the most important areas where I see final cut as superior, is how it handles file management. Final Cut puts everything in nice neat little libraries that can be moved and shuffled as needed without worry of missing clips. I save everything. I have maybe 18 TB of raw movie data and libraries on my NAS and I could pull any of them down and pickup right where I left off, nothing missing, nothing lacking. Move from one comuter to the next, no worries. Every clip, every sound, every image, all together in one neat package. When I’m done, I purge the render files and shelve the library on the NAS until I need it again. Having watched folks sturggle to relink and “find” clips in Premiere, that alone would drive me up a tree. Anyway, I hope that’s useful. I’m not loyal to Apple becuase I drank the special cool-aid, I loyal to the most effecient and productive product. Right now that continues to be Final cut for me. Cheers

This used to be the go to program for my video editing for years but now with all the updates and new OS this fcpx has crashed repeatedly to the point no work can be done! I need to know who to complain to because at this point I want my money back and all the money I am losing not being able to get my work done! Apple needs to provide a fix like now because this is not ok at all!
  • POST HIGH SIERRA

Hello! So if you’re like me you may have recently updated to High Sierra, went to open Final Cut and it said Final Cut was not compatible with the new update! It told you to check the app store right? You check and BAM you’re greeted by a $300 dollar asking price for something you've already purchased….You’re thinking “Are you kidding ME?!?!!! This is madness!!!” at least I know I was. That’s a lot of money. On top of that a lot there are a lot of angry recent reviews with no solution. Well I checked online and found some advice to log into your account on the app store. I went to the app store and sure enough I wasn’t logged in for some reason. Just log in, go to your PURCHASES, look for Final Cut and it should say install. That’s what I did, no need to pay another $300 : ) As far as the performance Post Update I’ll update the review if it’s drastically worse as I have not done much editing with this version YET but will soon. Hope this helped! I don’t normally write reviews but I know this knowledge would have saved me some time/I would have escaped panic mode sooner XD. All the best!
