App Reviews

  • More like Voice Nightmare Reader!!

    By Jack11111112111
Spent $15 on this app in hopes that it could read me a PDF I downloaded while I ate dinner. I chose the Lisa voice, can't even pronounce the word 'benefits'. It sounds completely unnatural reading question marks and commas. It wasn't even worth listening for more than half a page of emotionless gibberish for me to come to the conclusion that I might as well just read it after I finished my food. This app isn't worth $15.
  • Crop PDF function not working

    By Jrfalconer
The item description is misleading, as the crop PDF function is not working at this time. The voice continues to read every header and footer ad infinitum. Another function that does not work is the pinch and zoom for PDFs in the original view. In future versions, may I also recommend that there be an option to mute footnotes and footnote reference markers in PDFs, perhaps by skipping over all text that is smaller than the main text. Also, it would be very helpful if sepia and dark viewing modes would be made available for the original view of PDFs. Otherwise, this is a solid app, and I am very pleased with the direction it is taking. Please make these small changes, and I will be extremely happy.

  • Too Many Glitches

    By rctnavylt
To be honest, this product robotically reads PDFs, but when it comes to bulleted lists, is speaks the letter T for the bullet and in many instances speaks gibberish. It also has difficulty with my grad school textbooks because of the single and double column formats they take. I am reading a textbook right now that the entire chapter is gibberish. When taking the document back Acrobat and searching those words, it finds them, so it has to be the Voice Dream product. Very disappointed. Regardless of what people say, this product needs work and is not worth $14.99, maybe $4.99.
  • Excellent app

Does a great job. Even with my medical textbooks. The set PDF margin functionality is not working for my PDFs though. Tired of hearing the footers and headers...
  • Best reading program

    By Weasley1435
I am dyslexic and need an audio text to speech program to help with my studying. The non- iOS voices offered in this app making learning easier, clearer and more interesting. I only wish I had discovered this program sooner.
  • Dream Proofreader

    By Zbug40
I purchased this app after my cowriter told me what a fantastic job it did to help proofread her story. Reading written work aloud makes a world of difference. You can hear mistakes or awkward sentences. Dream Voice read my novel to me and I caught several errors that I may never have caught on my own while reading. For example: He titled his head, which should have been, He tilted his head. For writers who want to perfect their craft, this app is a must have!
