Tried to watch the emmys. Commercials were 50% louder than the main show so that every time it cut to commercials, my eardrums blew out. Then app crashed. When I reopened, it didn't properly save where I had left off. Here's the major problem, I can't scan to where I left off using the slider, because every time I scan the slider, they make you watch 2 minutes of commercials. After scanning 3 different locations, and having to sit through 6 minutes of the same commercials back to back, gave up. CBS should outsource streaming to Netflix or Hulu until they get their streaming experience right.

I want to love this app so I can watch college football away from home. I hate I have to pay extra for it. I have DIRECTV, so I would have to pay for CBS twice. To me, worthless. I can watch all other networks free once I sign in to my account with DIRECTV. What a total rip off. I do realize no one from CBS will ever read this, and it won't ever change, but I feel the need to say it anyway. I'll just wait for all their shows to hit Netflix, USA, or on demand. Cheaper than this scam.
  • I love CBS

Lots of error messages & glitches. No way to skip ahead in the app. Poor cooperation with native iPhone functions on the swipe up menu (skip ahead or rewind by 30 sec). This is one of the "big 3" networks. They can do much better. In an increasingly "stream" based media culture, you would think they would strive to be competitive and have a better interface.

I subscribed to content on the CBS app so that I could watch the Emmy's last night. I planned on taking advantage of the free trial to see if I would want to keep the subscription. When I watched the Emmy's live last night the # of commercials was ok, but when I watched on the app today for about 30 minutes, I probably spent about 70% of that time watching commercials. For free content, this might be acceptable (although it was pretty unwatchable to spend 20+ min watching the same 2 commercials), but for $5.99/month that's pretty unacceptable. For a little more per month I can watch Netflix, which has zero commercials and way more content. I cancelled my trial today in advance of the end of the 7 days because I don't plan to spend the next 6 days watching commercials.
