Pocket Prep is your award-winning tool in mobile learning and exam preparation. Pocket Prep allows you to study anywhere, anytime, right from your mobile device. We strive to make studying more efficient by redefining how you prepare for the ASWB® Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) exam. Create customized practice tests, view detailed answer rationales, and review your results with just a few taps! 2015 Academics’ Choice “Smart Media” award winner 2016 EdTech Digest “Cool Tool” award winner The Science Behind Mobile Learning: Overloading your brain with too much information at once is a common study mistake. Research has shown that smaller, more frequent study sessions are the key to knowledge retention. In other words, taking short quizzes on the go is a much more effective means of exam preparation than reading page after page in a textbook. Apps offer the benefit of interaction, which means you’re far more likely to remember a concept you engage with rather than one you’ve only read about. *NOTE* This app will prepare you for DSM-5 clinical level social work exams. Titles vary by state and may include: LCSW, LISW, CMSW, CSW-PIP and LICSW. Looking for our Master's level app? Search Pocket Prep MSW in iTunes. Questions are not similar to exam. These are very wordy which makes them confusing. I did pass my exam but I would also recommend buying the ASWB practice exam.

I took my exam in New York and I did not find that these questions were formulated like the actual exam questions. I recommend buying the online practice test from ASWB website and studying from there. I passed the real exam by the exact same margin as I passed the practice ASWB exam. I think this app is a waste of time and money. I'm glad it helped some people but it didn't work for me.
  • Helpful but produced anxiety.

I passed my exam! I used this app along with other materials. The questions on the app are very though provoking however, can be a bit confusing and wordy. ( The exam is to the point with the STEM) I do think learning from the reasonings to answers was helpful for learning. But it the scores made me nervous. I averaged 68% on my pocket prep exams. On the aswb exam I got 104 questions correct.
  • Excellent Resource

Great sample questions. Explanations help me understand the best answer available. Stats help me hone in on what topics I need to study more.

This app has been fantastic. Like others have mentioned, it can be so overwhelming with the volume of information to study, the app helps organize and prioritize studying. I highly recommend!
